COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Lona S. Hickman, 76, of Covington Route 2, died at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 1, 1976) at the Covington Manor Nursing Center. She had been a patient a year. Born Aug. 21, 1900, in Allegheny County, Va., she was the daughter of William and Mattie Lena Hoke Martin. She was married on March 25, 1927, to Jesse H. Hickman, who died Feb. 10, 1973. She had resided on Covington Route 2 since 1927. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Betty Hickman of Covington and Mrs. Carol Zink of Otterbein; a son, Merle of Covington Route 1; three stepsons, Howard Hickman of Williamsport Route 2, Max Hickman of Danville, Ill. and Lloyd Hickman of Covington; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Evelyn Bever of Williamsport Route 1; three brothers, Jake Martin of Neola, W. Va.; Jack Martin of Buchanan, Va. and Harl Martin of Covington, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Wayne Johnson of Fincastle, Va.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday. --typed by Walt W
